About the Author
Morris Nitsun is consultant psychologist in Camden and Islington NHS Trust, psychotherapist at the Fitzrovia Group Analytic Practice, Training Analyst at the Institute of Group Analysis, and Convenor, Diploma in Innovative Group Interventions, Anna Freud Clinic. His books The Anti-group: Destructive Forces in the Group and their Creative Potential (Routledge1996, classic edition 2015) and The Group as an Object of Desire (Routledge, 2006) have been described as 'classics in the field'. He has lectured and run workshops in countries across the world. He is also a practising artist who exhibits regularly in London.

Highly recommended for specialists and non-specialists

Nitsun's superb scholarly grasp of the wide range of group theories and practices, along with his thoughtful interdisciplinary focus, especially about the performance arts and cinema, made reading this book a most illuminating and enjoyable experience. Using his original concepts of the "Anti-Group" and the "organizational mirror," Nitsun aptly highlights the dynamics of both destructive and constructive elements operative in all groups and the need to creatively manage them on the way to enhancing both group and individual, autonomy, integration and humanity. The book is mercifully not "top heavy" with technical jargon, it has a very clear and at times, breezy "feel" to it. Highly recommended for specialists and non-specialists.
